Adventure 101: Scuba Diving Experience in the Cayman Islands

The islands which constitute Grand Cayman, the Cayman Islands, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac, lie 150 miles south of Cuba and 180 miles northwest of Jamaica. All of the components of a scuba diving place walls, shallow reefs, and strong currents characterize the Cayman Islands dive sites.

The ski diving sector is well developed in the Caymans. On the other hand, the impact of large numbers of sailors around the ecosystem has been minimised through some excellent conservation work. A three-tier system is across 18 parks across the Cayman Islands, and most of the Caymans Island dive sites provide diving, although some areas have suffered the consequences of high quantities of divers.
